Sean Rice

Sean is a Partner at SCF and has been with the firm since 2017. He is responsible for the North American investment strategy and helps lead a number of SCF’s portfolio companies including Centurion, Pipeline Plastics, Taurus, Camin Cargo, Flowchem, ProDirectional, Frontier Tubular Solutions, and Westbrook Energy Group as well as Variperm prior to its sale in 2024. 

Prior to joining SCF, Sean was with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Banking Division for 18 years and most recently served as the Global Head of Energy. 

He graduated with a BS from Boston College in 1994 and earned an MBA in 1999 from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  Sean and his wife have four children and live in Houston.
