SCF Partners Expands Leadership Team

Houston, Texas – December 30, 2024 – SCF Partners, Inc. (“SCF”), a leading provider of private capital to the global energy services, equipment, and technology sector, announces the promotion of Garrett Jackson, Deviyani Misra-Godwin, Hugh Sheppard, and Dan West to the position of Managing Director.

Founded in 1989 and based in Houston, Texas, SCF has invested over $3 billion of capital across ten funds and built many of the leading companies providing products and services to the global energy industry.

Garrett Jackson joined SCF as an Analyst in 2013 and has since focused on sourcing and executing investment opportunities across North America. He has played a key role in leading the firm’s efforts in the downstream infrastructure, industrial services, and flow control sectors, serving on the Boards of five portfolio companies. Prior to SCF, Garrett was Mitt Romney’s personal aide during the 2012 presidential campaign and worked at Solamere Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi with dual degrees in Political Science and Public Policy Leadership and earned his MBA from Rice University in 2017.

Deviyani Misra-Godwin currently serves on the Boards of Newpark Drilling Fluids, T.D. Williamson, BCCK, and CSP Permian, and until its recent exit Variperm Energy Services.  Deviyani’s key responsibilities include origination, deal execution and portfolio management. Deviyani has more than 15 years of experience in the Energy sector: she spent several years in operations at ExxonMobil and subsequently joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in their Energy practice, working on global projects across the energy industry. She received a First Class Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge where she was fourth in her year, during which time she was selected to spend a year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); she has an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Hugh Sheppard joined SCF in 2016, leading the Score and Hydrasun acquisitions and is now focused on deal sourcing and portfolio company support in the Asia Pacific region. Hugh previously worked as an engineer with Santos, a leading Australian exploration and production company. Hugh graduated with Honours from the University of Adelaide with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and earned his MBA at Harvard Business School.

Dan West has served on the Boards of five SCF portfolio companies, sourcing and leading investments focused in the upstream, infrastructure services, and energy transition sectors. Prior to joining SCF, Dan served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and led infantry operations in Afghanistan and in support of the NATO Libyan intervention. Dan holds degrees with honors from Harvard in economics, business administration, and law.
