D2Zero Update: Accelerating Decarbonization Momentum

Aberdeen, UK – October 7, 2024 – D2Zero, the decarbonisation and clean energy solutions Group, works closely with customers across critical industries to deliver progress on four key areas of the energy transition: emissions reduction; clean hydrogen; power efficiency and resilience management; and carbon capture & storage. D2Zero’s approach is to bring together differentiated technical capabilities built up over decades and align them behind a common focus on decarbonising traditional energy sources, whilst accelerating the transition to renewable energy. The Group recently provided an update on recent business developments.

Delivery of critical decarbonisation projects

D2Zero is delighted to confirm that Hydrasun, a D2Zero company, has been selected by Aberdeen Hydrogen Energy Ltd, a joint venture between BP and Aberdeen City Council, to support the delivery of the Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub. Hydrasun will provide specialist expertise to support the design and build of the project that will incorporate solar power, green hydrogen production and refuelling facilities for transport.

Acquisitions to strengthen and expand our capability

D2Zero recently welcomed OSL Consulting Engineers, a leading technical engineering company, to D2Zero. OSL brings a 100+ strong team of innovative engineering consultants into the Group with experience of delivering complex projects for some of the most progressive energy companies in the world.

Taking our place in the Energy Transition Zone  

D2Zero is proud to have opened new headquarters in Aberdeen’s Energy Transition Zone (‘ETZ’), the largest dedicated energy transition complex in Europe. Within this globally integrated new energy cluster, D2Zero will join other highly innovative companies with a dedicated focus on energy transition solutions.

The ETZ’s ability to attract specialist skills and world class expertise will support D2Zero’s ambitious plans to grow its workforce and support its 4,000people around the world with leading-edge innovation from the heart of a new, globally recognised green energy cluster.
